Spiritual and Planning Retreats

An A spiritual or planning retreat is an example of a reimbursable expense that is personal development in nature and must be on your PDP is a spiritual or planning retreat. At times, the demands of a ministry position will require intentional times of retreat for personal development and renewal or for planning. Having the opportunity to take a spiritual/ministry planning retreat is not a guaranteed benefit. Spiritual and Ministry Planning Retreats need to be pre-approved by a supervisor and added to a Personal Development Plan attached to a new job description at the beginning of each year. The retreat(s) should be required by the local ministry as part of developing the ministry of the field staff member.
