As you are raising support, you may wish for help in knowing what your responsibilities include.  Here is an overview of typical tasks in a one-page view. 

In working with your MTD coach, you will likely choose to customize your performance benchmarks.  We encourage you to actively focus one or two benchmarks as your activity goals.  Naturally, you will not achieve every benchmark every week. However, this list is a meaningful summary of the things to review on regular basis.

Use this checklist to guide you through the basic tasks to complete while in full-time MTD. 

Weekly checklist

  • Call or meet with MTD coach
  • Keep track of your MTD activity throughout the week.
  • Finalize numbers before your weekly coaching call.
  • Submit your Personal Ministry Report to your MTD Coach.
  • Check your Reliant email inbox for news from Reliant. This is usually how Gift Services, HR or your vertical leader will contact you.
  • Check for changes in giving. 

Monthly checklist

  • Write a monthly prayer letter and send to your supporters, your MTD Coach and to Reliant (prayer.letters@reliant.org).
    • If a larger, monthly letter is not your thing, you could try shorter, more frequent updates. A service such as Epistle will bundle Instagram-type updates and send them in the frequency desired by your supporter (daily, weekly or monthly).

  • Remind yourself of the benchmarks below that are expected for missionaries in initial MTD and working 40 hours/week.

    Mike Swann Keva Ambre Here's a quick Solomon page we could put in the MTD section that would be a reminder for new missionaries of the tasks they need to complete each week. A coach could also use it to remind a missionary what needs to be completed each week. I would also post it in the Facebook group a day or two after NST ends.

    I grabbed the information from our Preparing for Checkout slides so feel free to suggest anything else that would be helpful to add.

      I like it!!!!

      I'd also like some full-time averages/ expectations on this page to give an idea/reminder of what a normal activity level looks like.
      Example: 80 connection attempts per week, 6-8 appointments, 2-3 new financial partners, etc. 

       

      I'm on the fence about the link for the PMR. One one side, it's helpful for those coaches who aren't in the habit of using them (Cori and I are working to correct that, but it would help to communicate the PMR expectation to the missionary). But, the link might create confusion for those of us who create a personalized PMR on google forms for each of our missionaries.

    Thanks Keva Ambre. I added the Performance Benchmarks and tweaked the PMR to say that their coach may have shared one with them. If not, use the Word doc.
