If a donor gave you cash or a check made out to you instead of Reliant, you will need to get a money order.
- Go somewhere you can get a money order. If you go to the post office, 7- Eleven, Walgreens, CVS, Kroger, Walmart, Amscot, etc. and if you have a check, you will need to first deposit the check into your bank account and then pay for the money order with cash or a debit card. If you go to your bank with a check, you will need to deposit the check into your own account and get a money order or cashier's check, depending on the amount.
- There will typically be a small fee for the money order, but make sure the money order amount is for the same amount that the donor gave and pay the fee yourself. You may submit a reimbursement for the fee.
- Have them give you a money order made out to Reliant Mission, or you may write "Reliant Mission" in the Pay To space. There may also be a space to add in Reliant's address as well (11002 Lake Hart Dr., Ste. 100, Orlando, FL 32832).
- In the From or Sender space, write the donor's name and address.
- In the memo section, write your Reliant Mission Fund Number.
- If there is a signature spot on the front of the money order, sign there. Do not sign the back of the money order.
- Tear off the receipt and keep it in case your money order gets lost.
Complete and print a New Promise Form on Toolbox, select the Notify Gift Services button, and mail the money order to Reliant.
