If you are using Tntconnect as your database you may have realized that they recently stopped supporting the DataSync feature. That feature is what allows you to upload a DataSync file into Tntconnect from Staffnet. Uploading that file into your database is what keeps it up to date with what gifts have come in since your last uploaded DataSync file. So you will either have to do without this feature or transition to a different database. Currently, Reliant has been using and promoting MPDX. I thought you might want to know about some upcoming deadlines for Reliant's New Staff Training in February in Orlando.

• Documentation deadline for International missionaries: October 28
  
• Documentation deadline for U.S. missionaries: November 18

(An applicant needs to have all references completed, paid any application fees, completed all tasks and clicked "Submit my Documentation" on go.reliant.org by the documentation deadline.)

• Supervisor Assessment deadline: December 9. An applicant needs to be interviewed by the leadership at the church or ministry where he or she will be working. 

As a general rule, applicants should complete their applications and have their references in at least three months before the training they want to attend. If the training of their choice is already less than three months away, please have them reach out to us at go@reliant.org, and we will do our best to accommodate them if possible. The assessment of an applicant must be complete and an offer of employment given before an applicant is invited to register for New Staff Training. 

Rolling Applications: Reliant applications work on a rolling cycle, so an applicant doesn't have to wait until the deadlines in order to apply. Applicants can attend the training of their choice up to a year from their application submission. That also means if deadlines are missed, there are more training opportunities coming.

How’s your MTD been lately?

If you’re in need of a refresher or a good dose of encouragement (i.e. kick in the pants to raise some new support),  Keva Ambre, one of Reliant's seasoned coaches, is now offering a coaching cohort for seasoned missionaries like you.

The cohort meets on Thursdays at 10am, EDT via phone. Space is limited to 7 people. Sign up for 6-weeks to give your MTD a quick booster shot. Calls will help you focus, troubleshoot and give you the opportunity to learn from other seasoned support raisers on what’s been working for them over the years.

This coaching cohort is offered to you at no charge as part of the many benefits of your employment with Reliant. All that is asked is that you commit to making 20 asks over your 6 week time.

Good news! You can start your cohort as early as this week!

We wanted to share a quick and encouraging MTD story! 

"I met with a guy this afternoon, who I have been trying to get with for months. This is a quote from him:

 'David, I'm in charge for the missions board of my church. I meet with missionaries all the time. We currently don't have money left in our missions budget at all; combine that with my crazy schedule, I honestly didn't think this was going to happen. But the reason we are currently sitting here is because of your persistence. I said to my wife last night, 'This guy won't quit.' That's an exceptional thing, and it's the reason why I want to hear what you have to say.'

 Him and his wife decided the other day that they wanted to give me a $200 special gift and he wants to work with his church to see if they can find money in the budget to support me. Praise Jesus!"
