Reliant is closing the Timothy Fund Investment Option
Effective November 15th, funds invested in Timothy Funds will be directed to Guidestone funds.
The Reliant 401(k) Investment committee has decided to close the Timothy Fund Investment option effective 11/15/2018. This decision was made upon counsel from our 401(k) broker, Michael Clark, and after monitoring the Timothy Funds' poor market performance for over a year.
To replace this investment, Reliant's 401(k) Plan with Principal Financial Group will be offering a new investment option: Guidestone Funds. Guidestone Funds are a similar investment option to the Timothy fund. Investment options within the Guidestone funds are selected based on principles of Bible-based responsible investing. Reliant has partnered with Guidestone as our domestic medical insurance provider for many years. Over those years we have built a trusting relationship with Guidestone, which has led us to enhance our connection by offering a selected number of their investment funds within our 401(k) Plan. The 401(k) investment committee believes Guidestone Funds provide a reliable balance of faith-based values in their investment strategy combined with a solid track record of market performance.
To accompany this investment change, we have the following required notices and disclosure statements which we are required to provide to our 401(k) Plan participants.
