This process only applies to those field workers within the College Program Team.
If your church wishes to continue employing an intern or resident by transitioning them into a career field staff role, follow these steps:
- Application Process: Decide whether you want the intern/resident to apply for the position or if you are ready to offer it directly.
- If an application is needed: The worker can complete a Refresh Application — a streamlined process for those employed by Reliant within the past three years who are transitioning into a career field staff role or moving from one church/ministry to another.
- If offering the position directly: You can move straight to the hiring decision call.
- Hiring Decision Call: Schedule a Hiring Decision Call to discuss:
- New Staff Level
- New Salary
- MTD Training Type (see below)
- Timeline for MTD and new role
- MTD Training: Choose from the following training options for this season:
- Self-paced "Becoming a Career Missionary" LEARN course: This covers reconnecting with donors, asking for an increase and new names, and other career employment pieces they may not have received in their initial training.
- Full MTD Virtual Training: If additional training is preferred.
