Each international team and individual will be asked to submit a crisis management plan which consists of multiple requirements listed below that will be unique to the risks determined by Reliant for the international location.
Reliant is using Google Drive folders for international teams to collect much of the information for your plan below in a secure way that is online and can be easily edited at any time by both you and Reliant. Reliant will create a folder for your team in Google Drive that we will share with all members of your team. Reliant will send you a link to the Google Drive team folders before you begin to gather information for your Crisis Management Plans. Many of the items needed for the Crisis Management Plans will be collected and updated within these folders.
Team crisis management plan will include:
One Time
- Team Crisis Training appropriate for your location attended by team members
- Create a text group for security/crisis communication for the team and add Matt Mott to the group. (What'sApp or Signal are the preferred/recommended standard apps for a text group. Other equivalent app options can be requested by the local team leader and will need Reliant pre-approval.)
Re-evaluated/updated each year by all team members:
- International Risk Assessment
- Contextualized Contingency Plans for the top threats
- Location Documentation
- Evacuation Preparedness Plans
- Team Evacuation Plan will be submitted to Reliant
- Shelter in Place
- Places of Refuge
- Team leader confirms that identification and evaluation of medical facilities has been submitted by each team member
An individual crisis management plan will include:
One Time:
- Confirm attendance of a team Crisis Training
- Every team member has signed an agreement that they understand the Reliant International Risk Level and the associated risks outlined for their location
- Every team member must confirm that they have registered with the Embassy and Consulate Assistance
- Download an app (determined by your team) to use a text group for security/crisis communication. What's app is the preferred/recommended standard app)
- Download one-drive app in order to easily access contextualized team contingency plans
- Memorize and save the International Crisis Hotline number in your phone
- Acknowledge and agree to what is required for Item Preparation for your location. This includes Communication Devices, Go Bag, Vehicle Supply Bag
Re-evaluated/updated each year:
- Location Documentation
- Evaluation of Local Hospitals and Health Facilities
- Contingency Planning for individuals in for HIGH International Risk Levels
- Shelter in Place for individuals in HIGH International Risk Levels
- Self-Evacuation submitted if applicable
- Review next of kin list and update contact information
- Medical Power of Attorney is up to date and shared with team leadership. It should name someone local on the team who can provide care if incapacitated.
- Durable Power of Attorney is up to date allowing appropriate family members of associates to manage team member's affairs, should he/she be incapacitated.
