Tech Questions

Can't access the Open Enrollment form

The Open Enrollment Forms can be accessed via the Open Enrollment Solomon page linked here. You can also find this information in the Open Enrollment Email sent on

I started completing a form and closed out. Did it the form save?

Yes, but you will need to reopen the SignNow form and click "Finish" to submit the form. If you cannot re-access the form, please email benefits@reliant.org and the benefits team can them resend your form to you.

Did you receive my OE form?

Yes, if you clicked “FINISH” on the SignNow form, we received it. At that point, a pop-up appears where you can download your results as a PDF; if you missed that step and still need a copy of the responses, please email benefits@reliant.org and we’ll send them to you

Once you’ve completed all required fields and signed the form, make sure to click “Finish.” A green banner will appear at the top of your screen when the form is ready to submit.

If you only sign the form and don’t click “Finish,” the HR Team won’t receive it, and your changes may not be processed.

I filled out an OE form but did not receive a PDF to confirm it.

No problem, please email benefits@reliant.org with a request for a copy of your results and we will email them to you within 24 hours

Questions on how to fill out the SignNow form

Please view the Solomon pages below to help guide you through the Open Enrollment Forms

What is my MTD Account Number & where can I find it?

This is your 4-digit fund number and can be found on ToolBox or your Reliant giving page

Insurance Questions

Do I have to have Reliant's insurance?
  • All employees who are working 30 hours/week or more are required to have Reliant's insurance.
  • There are a few circumstances in which people can waive Reliant's insurance if they have medical insurance coverage elsewhere.
  • Those circumstances and information about waiving can be found here: Medical Insurance Waiver Options.
What insurance do I have right now?
  • This is located in ToolBox in the Employment Section, under Benefits
  • You can also see your current medical and dental selections on your paystub. It won't be able to tell what Level plan you have (Employee Only, Employee + Spouse/Children, or Family), but it can tell what plan you have and how much is being charged to the MTD account for which you are responsible.
  • To determine if you currently have vision insurance, you may look at the 'Pre-tax Deduct' section on your Pay Stub . If you see 'Vision Plan' and a dollar amount deduction, you have vision insurance for the current year.
What insurance did I sign up for with Open Enrollment?

If you did not receive a PDF confirmation of your results, you can reach out to benefits@reliant.org and the benefits team can let you know what you selected

Can you help me understand insurance terminology (deductible, co-pay, etc)?

Yes, of course! Please visit the Open Enrollment Glossary. If you have additional questions, please email benefits@reliant.org and we will be happy to help

Can I make a change if I already submitted the Open Enrollment form?

If you need to change selections after submitting your forms, please email benefits@reliant.org so our team can void your original responses, and have you complete a new form if necessary.

I have not waived in the past, but I want to this year.

Okay no problem, you will need to complete a Termination form to waive coverage.

I am going to be turning 26 next year, do I need to participate in Open Enrollment?
  • No, if you are currently on your parent's coverage you do not need to participate in Open Enrollment
  • When you turn 26 and lose your parent's coverage it is considered a qualifying event. You should check with your insurance because some insurances drop a person on their birthday while others will wait till the end of the year or other times. You will be able to enroll or waive for another reason when you turn 26 next year.
  • Please email benefits@reliant.org if they have questions when your qualifying event takes place.

The waiver form said it was for a dependent, but it should be for my spouse?
  • "Insurance dependents" refers to anyone in your immediate families, such as spouses and children.
  • This may be confusing because tax forms only refer to kids as dependents, but spouses and children are dependents on the insurance waivers.
  • Please see the Solomon page for adding dependents: Adding a Dependent to Insurance
Can I have dental/vision/life insurance without having medical coverage?

Yes, If you have an allowable reason to waive medical coverage, but still want dental/vision/life, you can waive medical and enroll in the others.

Can I reimburse myself from my Health Saving's Account (HSA)?

In the case you might not have used your HSA for an approved medical purchase, you can request to file a reimbursement to yourself from your HSA.

For more details on this process please visit; Filing a Reimbursement from your HSA

EAP Employee Assistance Program

All Reliant employees (other than those enrolled in Aetna International Medical Insurance) follow the EAP directions here: Employee Assistance Program (EAP) - Resources for Living

Those enrolled in Aetna International Medical Insurance follow EAP directions here: Aetna's Employee Assistance Program (EAP) - For AETNA Members

I am currently in counseling. How do I take advantage of the EAP service? Will I need to switch counselors?

The EAP is for temporary counseling needs. It could transition into long-term care. Once it goes past the allowed number of visits, it would no longer be paid for by the EAP.

It is not intended to work backward with someone who has an established counseling relationship. If a separate issue comes up (outside of what they are currently seeing a counselor for) they can use the EAP. For example, if they are seeing their current counselor regarding being an adoptive family and an illness of a family member takes place, that would be something they could use their EAP for. They could also ask their counselor if the counselor 1) accepts Aetna EAP or 2) would be willing to apply to be in Aetna EAP provider network. The signup process can take a few months and is not guaranteed.

Does the EAP apply towards psychiatry or just counseling?

The EAP just applies toward counseling. But, if they need help finding a psychiatrist provider, they can call the highmark BCBS number on the back of their medical card. That would be under our medical plan, and all costs could be reimbursed using their HSA if they have saved up funds in their account.

Complicated life situations

I am having a baby next year, what do I do?
  • Enroll now for the insurance that you need currently.
  • You can add your baby when they are born.
  • If questions become more complicated than this, send benefits@reliant.org an email or forward the employee's email to benefits@reliant.org.
Employee enrolling in insurance but not their dependent

You need to complete the OE form and will be sent a SignNow waiver to fill out for your dependent waiver.

I am getting married next year and wanting to switch to my husband's insurance/add him to mine

Enroll for insurance now based on your current life situation, and after you get married you can switch to whatever works best.

If questions become more complicated than this, send the email to benefits@reliant.org

I am getting married between OE and the end of the year and my insurance needs will be changing. What do I do?
  • Enroll based on your current situation.
  • It is a part of the Newly Married Checklist process to let Reliant know about any insurance changes that you want to make.
  • Reliant will make the insurance change at the time that it happens due to the qualifying life event.
I am in initial MTD and have not been hired yet, do I still participate in Open Enrollment?

Only active employees participate in Open Enrollment, so only employees who are officially hired by the last day of Open Enrollment should participate.

If you are hired after Open Enrollment (prior to the end of the year), Benefits will facilitate your insurance enrollments for both 2025 and 2026.
