All Reliant employees (other than those enrolled in Aetna International Medical Insurance) follow the EAP directions here: Employee Assistance Program (EAP) - Resources for Living Those enrolled in Aetna International Medical Insurance follow EAP directions here: Aetna's Employee Assistance Program (EAP) - For AETNA Members |
The EAP is for temporary counseling needs. It could transition into long-term care. Once it goes past the allowed number of visits, it would no longer be paid for by the EAP. It is not intended to work backward with someone who has an established counseling relationship. If a separate issue comes up (outside of what they are currently seeing a counselor for) they can use the EAP. For example, if they are seeing their current counselor regarding being an adoptive family and an illness of a family member takes place, that would be something they could use their EAP for. They could also ask their counselor if the counselor 1) accepts Aetna EAP or 2) would be willing to apply to be in Aetna EAP provider network. The signup process can take a few months and is not guaranteed. |
The EAP just applies toward counseling. But, if they need help finding a psychiatrist provider, they can call the highmark BCBS number on the back of their medical card. That would be under our medical plan, and all costs could be reimbursed using their HSA if they have saved up funds in their account. |
|
You need to complete the OE form and will be sent a SignNow waiver to fill out for your dependent waiver. |
