Mental Health Care*
In May 2024, board-certified psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioners (PMHNPs) will join our mental health network, expanding provider options for members. Much like Teladoc psychiatrists, PMHNPs will evaluate mental health status and symptoms, use diagnostic tools, order tests, interpret test results, and prescribe medications. Members will be able to specify whether they want to see a psychiatrist or prefer the next available appointment — which may be a physician (M.D./D.O.) or PMHNP.
Teladoc
Teladoc is a cost-savings telemedicine service. Teladoc is a 24/7 live, either online video chat or phone, service offering non-emergency consultations with U.S. board-certified doctors. The convenience of Teladoc is that you never have to leave your home to see a doctor. You can even use your cell phone wherever and whenever to connect with a live video chat using the Teladoc mobile app. This is great when you are traveling and away from a primary care physician.
