Eligibility

Reliant's Dental Insurance through RSLI is available to employees who are regularly scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week.

Coverage is effective on the employee's date of hire, provided the employee enrolls within the applicable enrollment period.

Eligible employees may also enroll their eligible dependents through the month of the dependent's 26th birthday.

Reliant encourages employees to take advantage of this benefit from the beginning of their employment to help maintain their oral health and reduce future dental expenses.

Employees generally have 30 days following a qualifying life event to enroll in or make changes to dental coverage.

Dependent Child Enrollment

The birth or adoption of a child is a qualifying life event. Newborn children are automatically covered under the dental plan for the first 18 months following birth, regardless of whether they are formally enrolled. Because young children typically do not require dental coverage during this time, enrollment is not required immediately.

Parents have until 31 days following their child's third birthday to enroll the child in dental coverage. If enrollment is not completed within that timeframe, the child may be added during the next annual Open Enrollment period.
