titleShould I consider buying supplemental medical coverage for overseas travel?

Domestic employees that are covered on Reliant's GuideStone medical insurance plan are also automatically covered worldwide for overseas medical expenses with BCBS Global Core. Therefore, in most cases supplemental travel medical coverages are not necessary and might not cover any additional costs, since these policies typically are the secondary insurance/payer if someone also has coverage through a primary insurance.  Please be aware deductibles for your existing medical plan would apply to any medical treatment costs incurred overseas.  Expense from overseas medical services paid towards an employee's deductible and out of pocket expenses will be merged with the employee's US deductible and out-of-pocket amounts for the calendar year.

See Medical Insurance for more details.
