Reliant carries numerous employer liability policies such as sexual harassment coverage, travel /accident liability coverage, and other miscellaneous coverage(s) to protect Reliant in the case of a legal actions action that may be taken against the ministry. The cost premiums for these insurances come from a 2% employment insurances charge that is a monthly charge are paid for using the Employment Insurance charge to the MTD account. That charge occurs monthly, and it is based on the employee's salary (including parsonage)/hourly wages for that pay period. The employment insurance rate is calculated yearly based on Reliant's expected expenses for these insurance policies, but it is typically under 2%. Please ask your program team for more information on this year's percentage. |
