If your church wishes to continue employing an intern or resident by transitioning them into a career field staff role, follow these steps:

  • Application Process: Determine if your church would like them Decide whether you want the intern/resident to apply for the position , or if you are just ready to offer it directly.
    1. If you would like them to go through an application , the is needed: The worker can complete a Refresh Application — a streamlined process for those employed by Reliant within the past three years who are transitioning into a career field staff role or moving from one church/ministry to another.
    2. If you already know you would like to offer them this new position, you offering the position directly: You can move straight to the hiring decision call.
  • Hiring Decision Call: Schedule a Hiring Decision Call to discuss...:
    1. New Staff Level
    2. New Salary
    3. MTD Training Type (See see below)
    4. Timeline for MTD and new role
  • MTD Training: You can choose from these Choose from the following training options for us training them in this season.:
    1. Self
    2. We can have them complete the self-paced "Becoming a Career Missionary" LEARN course. : This covers reconnecting with donors, asking for an increase and new names, and other career employment pieces they would may not have gotten received in their first initial training.
    3. If you would prefer additional training, the worker could attend a full MTD Virtual TrainingFull MTD Virtual Training: If additional training is preferred.
