Q: How are cryptocurrency gifts processed?

A: Our platform for receiving a crypto gift is www.Engiven. Engiven com. Engiven serves non-profits in accepting and converting cryptocurrency gifts to USD. Donations are converted the moment a donor gives and the money is All cryptocurrency donations are sold immediately and converted to USD the moment the cryptocurrency donation is received by Engiven. The USD funds are automatically transferred to Reliant's bank account. Currently, Engiven accepts 39 different kinds of cryptocurrencies. Q: Does Engiven charge a fee for their services.?

A: Yes. As with any service created to provide solutions such as this, there is a fee involved. Engiven charges Reliant 4% of the exchanged USD value of the crypto gift. However, the The 4% Engiven fee is not deducted from split between the Reliant missionary MTD account or the church project intended as the recipient of the gift. It /project fund and Reliant's general funds. 1% of the Engiven fee is paid for by out of Reliant's general fundfunds. The remaining 3% is charged to the intended Reliant missionary MTD account or church project will be credited for the full converted amount of the gift. /project fund (just like the 3% credit card fee is charged on all credit card donations to Reliant missionary and church/project accounts).

Q: A donor has told me they gave Reliant a cryptocurrency donation but has not received confirmation from Reliant. What do should I do?

A: It is very likely that Reliant received the donation without all the information needed to process the giftdonation internally.

    • Encourage the Reliant donor to reach out to us at gift.services@reliant.org so we can ensure the gift donation is credited properly.
    • You may also reach out to us at any time to inquire about a cryptocurrency gift issue or question.

Q: A A donor has told me they gave Reliant a cryptocurrency donation but I have not seen it appear in Staffnet or on Toolbox. What do should I do?

A: It is very likely that Reliant received the donation without all the information needed to process the gift. Without an entry in the memo field of the form, we are Reliant is unable to properly connect the gift with the correct intended Reliant missionary MTD account or church/project fund.

    • Send us an email at gift.services@reliant.org so we can start researching this for you. 
    • If needed, you may need to also encourage the donor to reach out to us Reliant directly, to ensure we receive the documentation we need to properly credit the gift.
