Annual Reviews and New Salaries Supervisors & workers, we are so thankful to be partnered in ministry with you. We are excited for the Kingdom work you and your ministry are doing. Once appreciate the ministry of supervision you provide our missionaries! Once a year, Reliant Missionaries employees and Supervisors supervisors evaluate their jobs and review their performances. After evaluations are completed, the Reliant program team leads work together with Supervisors and/or the church or ministry's compensation teams to set updated salaries for the coming year. |

As a reminder, here are a few distinctions to our newer Annual Review process:

Upcoming dates to keep in mind
Due April 54: Missionary Employee completes the Missionary Employee Input section of the Annual Review and shares it with their Supervisor.
- For Collegiate the College Program Team only: Pastors, pastor spouses, and board members will share this with their church personnel committee and their Supervisorsupervisor.
- Due April 30: Supervisors complete the Annual Review and share it with their Program Team at either collegiate.program@reliant.org or us@reliant.org.
- June May 1 - July 2June 5: Compensation review conversations between Program between Program Team Leader and local and local compensation decision-makers.
- Reliant will send out a follow-up email to church leadership once all your evaluations are completed to schedule this time.
- July 15: Compensation notices go out to missionaries.
- June 16: Employee compensation updated, and employee notified by email.
- July 16: Deadline for employees August 16: Deadline for missionaries to accept new salaries for August paycheck.
What to do next?
- Both Missionaries and Supervisors can review this entire page so that they are ready to complete the Annual Review when it is sent to them.
- Go to Annual Review Tutorials and view the applicable video for your role and Program Team.
- MissionariesField Staff, watch your Reliant email inbox for an email with a link to the Annual Review.
- When you have finished your portion, share the document with your supervisor or personnel committee
- Supervisors, the Missionary will notify employee will share the document with you when he or she completes the Missionary Employee Input portion of the Annual Review, so watch your inbox for that notification.
- Then, you will fill out the Supervisor Input section.

Annual Review
Some significant changes are coming to the Performance Evaluation, now called "Annual Review." The most notable difference is that the Missionary now has a central role in the Annual Review. They will initially complete a Missionary Input tab, which allows them to do a self-assessment on their performance of MTD, Ministry Duties, Ministry Skills, and Character. They will also share their accomplishments over the past year and goals for the following year.
The new Annual Review can be tailored to the job role. Like the previous version, the Missionary will add five to seven of their most significant ministry duties to the Review. However, then they can now select five ministry skills from a list (or add skills, not on the list) that are most necessary for their role and complete a self-assessment on those skills.
The rating scales have also been changed on the new Annual Review to more simplified language.
After the Missionary completes their portion, they will share it with their Supervisors and/or other leaders who will complete the Annual Review. The Supervisor should review the Missionary Input tab and then fill out the Supervisor Input tab. The Missionary will be able to see what the Supervisor entered in the Annual Review.

Supervisors, as part of the Annual Review, you will be asked if you would like to update the Staff Level for the Missionary. Please make sure that you take some time to review the new Missionary Staff Levels and follow the instructions on the Annual Review for notifying Reliant that you'd like to make a change. Please get in touch with your Program Team (What Program Team Am I On?) if you have any questions.

If you or the person you supervise does not have an updated Job Description that has been shared with Reliant, please go to Job Descriptions to create and submit a new oneIn addition, Reliant will be transitioning to a new process to maintain Job Descriptions for all Missionaries and Associates. You can find more details about the transition here (Missionary Job Descriptions). While it is not mandatory to update your Job Description during the Annual Review season, it may make sense to do it now as you will be asked to refer to your Job Description as part of the Missionary Employee Input stage of the Annual Review.
