If a donor gave you cash or a check made out to you instead of Reliant, you will need to get a money order.

  • Go somewhere you can get a money order. If you go to the post office, 7-11, etc. and you have a check, you will sign the check over to themneed to deposit the check into your bank account and then pay for the money order with cash or a debit card. If you go to your bank with a check, you will need to deposit the check into your own account and get a money order or cashier's check, depending on the amount.
  • There will typically be a small fee for the money order, but make sure the money order amount is for the same amount that the donor gave and pay the fee yourself. You can may submit a reimbursement for the fee.
  • Have them give you a money order made out to Reliant, or you can may write "Reliant" in the Pay To space. There may also be a space to add in Reliant's address as well (11002 Lake Hart Dr., Ste. 100, Orlando, FL 32832-7106).
  • In the From or Sender space, write the donor's name and address.
  • In the memo section, write your fund number.
  • If there is a signature spot on the front of the money order, sign there. Do not sign the back of the money order.
  • Tear off the receipt and keep it in case your money order gets lost.

Send a New Gift Form to Reliant with the money order. You can fill out and print a New Gift Form from Staffnet. On Staffnet, choose MTD>New Gift Form.
