All missionaries enrolled with GuideStone have access to use Teledoc, a telemedicine service. Teladoc is a 24/7 telephone and online live video or phone service offering non-emergency consultations with U.S. board-certified doctors. There will be a $10 co-pay for PPO plan participants.  

Health Saver (HSA) participants will pay the full $40 doctor consultation fee until they have met their applicable Plan deductibles.

Afterwards their consultation fee will be covered at the co-insurance level for the HS 1500 and the HS 3000.

For the HS 5000, the participants pays the full $40 consultation fee until they reach their $5,000 or $10,000 Plan deductible.

This valuable cost-saving coinsurance level. This service is not intended to replace your relationship with a your primary care physician.

"Teledoc was indeed easy and very helpful.  

How easy is it? I started by taking about 5 minutes to enroll. Then I completed my medical history, which took about 10 minutes. Then I entered in my HSA credit debit card information to request the consultation and received  a phone call from the doctor within 10 minutes. Once the consultation started she really listened, took action, told me what to do next. It was about seven minutes total. It took a little longer for the prescription to get to my pharmacy, about 65 minutes. 

I love this the Teledoc medical history section for two reasons:  A) It’s saved, and I don’t have to re-create it;  B) I have a bunch of allergies; often I forget some when I’m rushing at the doctor’s office. The history form had easy add buttons to help me cover everythingevery one of my allergies. The list of prescriptions used is very similar as well.  

Another helpful feature on the Guidestone page is a message center where the doctor summarizes the consultation. You can ask any outstanding questions and get help there.  

I’m very glad I used the service. The best part is that I was on the mend within a half-day and I didn’t miss more work.
