  • You will also need to provide the NPI (National Provider Identifier) for your Doctor.  This number is used by Medela to obtain a prescription for your breast pump. If you do do not know thE NPI number you can do an online search for it or call your doctor's office and ask them for the number.
  • Breast Pumps will be delivered to your home address.  You will have the option to add on additional accessories for an extra charge.  Some of these additional costs may be paid for using a HSA account.  The IRS allows HSA accounts to be used towards  "the cost of breast pumps and supplies that assist lactation" see Publication 502 Medical and Dental Expenses.
