Best practices for delivering the financial ask:
UTILIZE THE HHYCH SLIDE!!!
Read the left side verbatum. Reading this gives the donor the chance to zone out and THINK. Next, read the first paragraph on the right, then customize your "financial invitation" with something like:
“Would you pray? Would you ask the Lord if He would have you partner financially with this ministry for $150 a month, or some other amount?”
“Would you join my team at $150.00 a month, or some other amount?”
Notice the "ask" is very direct. Let your slide do the "range ask." Avoid saying too many numbers by just focusing on one intentional gift amount.
Note: Keva also encouraged raising the minimum ask amount from $50 to $75 or $100 to help increase average gift size. *Your smallest amount offered (by your voice or your slide) is going to be where a lot of people will start. So, if $15 or $50 a month isn't really going to move the needle for you, then give amounts that will actually help. People want to help you win at this. Be straightforward and tell them how.
