Domestic employees that are covered on Reliant's GuideStone medical insurance plan are also automatically covered worldwide for overseas medical expenses and therefore do not need to buy supplemental travel medical trip insurance. However, domestic employees covered by GuideStone, will need their Highmark BCBS card info available when contacting Global Core. Please see BCBS Global Core Medical Insurance information below for more details on how to file a claim online.

Yes.  When receiving medical care outside of the US the plan switches from being covered by Highmark's BCBS services to the BCBS Global Core plan through GuideStone.

titleHow do I file a claim for an international claim?edical

For overseas medical care, you may need to pay up front and then file a claim. You can either do this online at BCBSGlobalCore.com or through the BCBS Global® Core mobile app by selecting “Claims” and then submitting your paper form or completing the online wizard. Make sure you also attach all of your bills along with your claim form.

titleHow do I contact the BCBS Global Core?

The 1-800 number is on the back of your current medical ID card (look for BCBSA Global Core 1-804-673-1177. You can also find contact information online at BCBSGlobalCore.com or through the BCBS Global® Core mobile app 

  If the employee were to go to a doctor or facility on the in-network provider list, the doctor or facility would submit the member claim and Global Core will guarantee payment. If the employee went to a doctor or facility not on the list, it is still treated as in-network but the employee would have to pay at the time of service and submit the claim manually to be reimbursed. Visit www.BCBSGlobalCore.com for instructions.
