The End of Year Appeal (EOYA) is a great opportunity to engage a different type of donor than your standard monthly one by inviting them to give a special (financial) gift in November or December.

Invite people to give!
Aim for your invitations to hit the week before Thanksgiving. This puts you ahead of the pack and gives more opportunities for reminders and follow-ups.
If you'd prefer a relational primer before inviting someone to give, send a snail-mail or email piece. This can be an "I'm thankful for you" card around Thanksgiving, your year-end appeal letter with a hand-written note, a prayer magnet, a postcard, etc.

Follow up!
Our MTD efforts are most effective when there's a personal invitation to give, then some follow-up until a decision is made.
Follow-up can include text messages, phone calls, emails, snail-mail letters, greeting cards, postcards, video messages, video calls, and other Creative Ways to Connect.
Thank your donors & praise Jesus
Celebrate what the Lord has done! Ps 126:3

Be careful YOU are not relying on a system or “something that worked” vs relying on God to move & work.
Doing it in tradition vs in faith

MTD rhythms during the holidays:
First week of December will be your last "good" week for appointments until after Christmas.
The week of Christmas is a great time to take time off of MTD and REST.
No MTD outreach on Christmas (but feel free to wish your people a Merry Christmas)
The days between Christmas and New Year can provide opportunities to connect with people who are in town but usually aren’t. Many are looking for a reason to get out of the house. Be ready to reach out for same-day meetups. Spontaneous plans work best.
Dec 29 & 30 plan to send some giving reminders (with a link to your giving page). Statistically 18% of charitable giving comes in the LAST THREE DAYS of the year. Have this text celebrate what God has already provided and invite them to be part of it.
Dec 31 is the last day a letter with a check can be postmarked in order for it to count as a deduction for the 2025 tax year.
