The government requires Reliant to verify that all new hires are eligible to work in the United States using a Form I-9 within 3 days after their start date. To ensure you are able and ready for your appointment, follow the 3 steps below! Once your appointment is scheduled, you will receive an email confirmation, an email reminder 24 hours prior to your appointment, along with a 24-hour & 1-hour text message reminder (if you input your phone number). At this appointment you will also be completing a Direct Deposit Form with your bank information so you be paid by Reliant.

How to best prepare for appointment:

  • Have your 4 digit Fund Number 
    • If you don't know this number, please reach out to your liaison before your appointment. 
  • Have your banking information ready to enter after you fill out your I-9 
    • Routing Number 
    • Account Number 
  • Scan/upload your documentation to your computer before your appointment that you are using to verify your I-9 . You will still need to have it physically with you during your appointment. 
  • We highly suggest you use a computer with a built-in camera for your appointment versus a smartphone. This will ensure the appointment goes smoothly & you have enough bandwidth to handle the video conferencing app. If this is an issue, please contact your liaison or payroll@reliant.org; we will be happy to help discuss your options! 

Please note that if you do not have your valid original documents, you cannot have your I-9 verified during your appointment. You will need to reschedule for a time when you have physical access to your valid original documents.  


Have the physical originals of the required I-9 documents with you & your banking information to use on the Direct Deposit Form. You will need to upload the document(s) you use to verify your I-9 to the form at the end of your appointment.

Be able to set up a video conference within 3 days of your hire date with you and a member of Reliant's Benefits & Employment Department, where we will ensure the form is filled out correctly and digitally confirm the required documents.

  1. user-2ce9f Barb Seckler we need to update this page as soon as we have the new dates. This is linked to the I9 email that is going to be sent out next week. Just making sure this is on all of our radars.

    1. Hey, we haven't gotten an update on an extension past the end of the year yet. I will update this page as soon as they update their page. 

  3. Hannah De OliveiraI have removed the COVID language from this page and changed it to the Virtual Verification process that we plan to use going forward (at least for now (wink))
