Thank you very much for your consideration and your desire to hear more about Reliant and our outreach to young people on college campuses. It was great talking to on the phone this week, and I am greatly encouraged with your work for the Lord.
Reliant partners with local churches by mobilizing missionaries for the Great Commission through evangelism, discipleship, and church planting. I am on staff at a campus church at Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio. God used this ministry to change my life in an amazing way, and I am excited to now be part of it! At BGSU, we provide students with opportunities for Bible-based teaching and fellowship through on-campus worship services, weekend training seminars, and small group Bible studies that meet in the dorms. In addition, students can participate in short-term mission trips, regional and national leadership conferences, retreats, and they have the option of joining our staff team in full-time ministry upon graduation. Our vision is to see students come into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ and then grow in areas of character, ministry skills, and knowledge of doctrine.
As staff, our primary responsibilities include evangelism, follow-up, and discipleship. We work to build relationships with students in hopes of winning them to Christ then we help them grow in that relationship. Along with that we also coach and train students on how to share their faith clearly and to lead small groups. For continuing education, our staff is enrolled in seminary classes.
Like other faith missions, I need a team of people who believe in what I'm doing to prayerfully and financially support the ministry of Reliant. Reliant would not exist apart from the help of ministry partners.
I am trusting God to provide individuals who will make monthly investments of $250, $100, or $50 in the critical work of reaching people for Christ. I do receive a wide range of gifts however, ranging from $10 to $500 per month. So whatever amount the Lord leads you to is greatly appreciated and will help me stay on campus.
