Allocation of Funds Received Through Fundraising
All contributions received by Reliant belong exclusively to Reliant. Funds are allocated to Board-approved and budgeted ministry funds based on donor request or, the absence of direction, on an as-needed basis. Whenever consistent with its charitable purposes, Reliant seeks to honor preferences expressed by donors; however, Reliant reserves ultimate descretion and full control of donated funds. As with all non-profit ministries, some of the resources go toward basic operational costs that support all Reliant ministries. Reliant strives to be as efficient as possible, it desires to direct a major portion of those contributions to the ministry taking place in the field. Generally, 12% of incoming funds from individual donors, and 3% of incoming funds from “sending church or ministry” are used for general operations and support staff.
Reliant will generally credit an ministry fund with 88% (or 97% in the case of a sending church or ministry) of each contribution given to Reliant that has been generated by the fund raising efforts of a ministry fund solictor.
