Plan type Plan type Employees must be enrolled within 31 days of hire. Coverage always begins on the 1st of a month and always terminates on the last day of a month. If an employee has not reached their 4 weeks (of working 20 hours per week) by the 1st of the month after their hire, they will be enrolled for coverage the second month following their hire (starting on the 1st of that month), and that enrollment must occur within 31 days of their hire. Example #1 - someone hired August 1st - would be eligible for coverage Sept 1st, and their enrollment must happen by August 31st Example #2 - someone hired August 15th would be eligible for coverage October 1st, and their enrollment must be completed by September 15thMedical Plan Options

Employees are eligible for coverage (based on Hawaii's ACA guidelines) after they have worked 20 hours or more per week for 4 weeks. This is DIFFERENT than Reliant's normal eligibility of employees working 30 hours or more having coverage offered the day of their hire. Enrollment
