You and each of your covered family members can individually choose which retail pharmacy chain they prefer for your 2024 network: CVS Pharmacy or Walgreens.
- The major chain selected will remain his or her choice for the year, and the other chain will be considered out of network.
- Regardless of which major chain is selected, employees can still choose to fill prescriptions at any of the 55,000+ other in-network pharmacies.
- For example, if an employee selects CVS Pharmacy as his or her 2024 choice, Walgreens will be considered out-of-network — but any other in-network independent pharmacy or mail-order prescription will still be covered as in-network.
- For 90-day quantities of maintenance medications, employees may choose between their major chain selection (CVS Pharmacy or Walgreens) or mail order.

- Make sure to select or confirm your choice online between CVS Pharmacy or Walgreens before filling prescriptions at either pharmacy in 2024.
- To make a selection, employees can log on to Express-Scripts.com, go to “Account” and then “Pharmacy Preferences”. Any changes will be updated in approximately 24 hours.
