This page concerns direct deposit for international missionaries. If you're a U.S. missionary, see Direct Deposit.

Before heading to your international assignment, be sure to review the International Financial Overview and participate in an International Financial orientation.

There are a variety of options for receiving your paycheck in your international location. Please keep in mind that any wire transfer to a foreign bank account will have Reliant Mission's name on the transaction. Currently, your W2 at the end of the year will also have Reliant Mission's name on it. We are able to provide paystubs under our DBA International Professional Associates. We are actively working on a solution for those workers in more sensitive locations.

Direct Deposit

Reliant can deposit your pay into a bank account located in the United States.  You can submit your bank account information to the Employment Services Department by sending in the Direct Deposit Form.  See Direct Deposit for the google doc form.  If you are having issues with the google doc, you can email payroll@reliant.org.

To access funds from your US bank overseas, you can either wire it to a foreign bank account or withdraw cash from ATMs. ATM fees are reimbursable for international workers.

Reliant does not have the ability to direct deposit into an International bank account.  However, you can request a monthly wire.

Monthly Wire

You can request a monthly wire of up to 100% of your paycheck to your International bank account.  There is an $10.00 service fee that is be charged to the account for which you are responsible for each wire.

Reliant requires you to keep a stateside bank account open even if you choose the monthly wire option to your International bank account, to be used for reimbursements and other deposits that may be needed.

Please see the Payroll Wire to Foreign Bank Accounts - Addendum to Direct Deposit Agreement section of this manual for more details.

NOTE: Some countries are on a no-banking list and will not be able to receive a wire.

Foreign Entity

Workers in some locations are required or prefer to be paid by a local entity in their country of service. Reliant is able to send a portion of your salary to another non-profit in the form of a grant, which they can use to pay your salary. In this scenario, you will still be required to have a small portion of your salary deposited in a US bank account. Please reach out to international@reliant.org if you are interested in this option and we will work through the details with you.

Salary Advance

Sometimes International workers need to put up a large amount of money at once. For instance, a landlord may require several months to a year of rent up front. You are able to request a payroll advance for these situations. See Payroll Advances for more information and for the google doc form.  If you are having issues with the google doc, you can email payroll@reliant.org.
