Eligibility - Must reside in the US

Individuals residing outside the US are not Medicare Part D eligible.

What happens with overseas re-location or return to the US?

Anyone residing overseas when they become Medicare eligible, may sign up for Medicare Part D when they move back to the US and they will incur no penalty regardless of the creditability status of their overseas coverage as long as they sign up within 60 days of their return. If the individual has Medicare Part D prior to leaving to reside overseas, they should terminate their Part D coverage when they move abroad and then re-enroll within 60 days of moving back to the US to avoid penalties.

These rules only apply to Part D. Part A and Part B rules are different.

Barb Seckler  i would like us to move or delete this page.  Or it can be a child page.  Or it can go in the US area?  I"m getting feedback from our people that Solomon is hard to navigate. T hus, i want to simplify information we provide.

  3. user-1a794 I think because this info specifically pertains to international employees and because we have employees 65+ that are living overseas it should stay in this International section but I'm fine if we make it a child page of another page.  Deborah Kennedy do you have ideas of where we could make this a child page to make it less confusing?
