Full-Time 40 and 30 hour/week employees are eligible for the full moving bonus. Part Time 25 and 20 hour employees are eligible for a partial bonus. Hourly missionaries are not eligible for the moving bonus.

(Please Notenote: As you are working on the moving bonus, please also make sure you are filling out the Missionary Change Notification Form and talking with Missionary Resources about your move.)

The goal of the bonus is not to cover all of the below expenses, but it is to help defray the cost for our missionaries. It is up to the missionary whether or not they take the entire bonus they are eligible for , and how they use the bonus. We will not ask for a tracking of expenses for this bonus.

Examples of expenses that may be incurred during this time include:

Moving Bonus parameters:

A missionary is eligible for up to an $8,000 moving bonus ($4000 $4,000 if Part Time 25 or 20) , if the missionary is...

• • Moving to a missional location in a new state or moving more than 250 miles within the state
  • Missionary intends to live in the new location for more than one year
  • Missionary will be working Full-Time 40 or 30, 25, or 20 hours/week , in the new location at least 40 of the next 52 weeks

• • Moving within state to a new missional location that is within the same state and more than 50 miles away
  • Missionary intends to live in the new location for more than one year
  • Missionary will be working Full-Time 40 or 30, 25 or 20 hours/week , in the new location at least 40 of the next 52 weeks
    
    

A missionary is NOT eligible for a moving bonus if the missionary is...

• • Staying Missionary is staying at the same missional location
  • Moving Missionary is moving less than 50 miles
  • Missionary is moving for MTD purposes
  • Missionary will not be working for Reliant in the new location at least 40 of the next 52 weeks
  • Missionary will be exiting staff within the next 12 months
  • Missionary is an hourly employee
  • Missionary's spouse has already requested a moving bonus for the same move
  • Missionary is an Associate missionary

How to request a moving bonus:

...

• A Reliant missionary may request a moving bonus up to 90 days before their the move. 
• Request your moving bonus by renaming the form with your first and last name (Ex. First name, Last Name - Moving Bonus Request Form) and sharing it with mr@reliant.org and your Reliant supervisor. 
• Note: Should you later decide not to move to the new missional location, Reliant will use payroll withholding to recover the amount of the bonus.
