If a Reliant Missionary Member gets into an accident with their personal vehicle (or with a rental car) while conducting Reliant ministry business, then:

  1. Contact the rental car agency immediately and contact your personal insurance company
  2. Obtain a local police report of the accident
  3. Obtain the insurance information of the other party involved in the accident
  4. Contact the Reliant office as soon as you are able to inform them of the accident
  5. Send a copy copies of your rental car agreement to Reliant and your personal insurance policy
    * This will help us determine what coverages you purchased on your rental car and what personal coverages you have for yourself
  6. Do not discuss the accident with anyone other than the police, the rental car agency, Reliant Office personnel, your personal insurance company or our Reliant corporate insurance agent.

Personal vehicle usage for Reliant ministry business

If a Reliant Missionary Member drives their personal car (or even borrows a friend’s car) and gets into an accident when conducting Reliant ministry business, generally the member's personal auto insurance policy is primary for both collision damage to their vehicle (or the one they borrowed) and, if applicable, any damage done to the other vehicle that was hit.
