For example, if Hank has a partner sign up for $100 a month in August, that would be reported as $2,400 ($100 x number of months of residency) in promised giving. After the first gift in August, Toolbox would track that as $100 in received gifts and then $2,300 in promised gifts. However, missionaries can start receiving monthly gifts as soon as February, in which case Toolbox would know to multiply by the monthly gift by 30 months totaling $3000. So the earlier they begin the better. All one time gifts would be reported as received gifts once they arrive to the account.
