It is Reliant's policy that each crisis has an appropriately measured response. If the Crisis Manager and/or Field Leader determine that an actual crisis situation involving Reliant's team members has occurred, they have the authority to decide whether or not to gather the ICMT. A Level 3 crisis, defined as a Field Leader being in control of a situation but needing Reliant's assistance, requires at minimum a measured response by the Crisis Manager with activation of parts of the ICMT (depending on the crisis, may start at the Program Team Director level). However, when a crisis occurs that is beyond the capabilities of the Field Leader to control and respond to, it is automatically considered a Level 5 incident, and the full ICMT must will be initiated.
