Info

The Master Grant Agreement is located within the Church/Project Fund Request Form and is not a form on its own. Below is just documentation of what is on the agreement within the request form.

MASTER GRANT AGREEMENT

Master Grant Agreements are customized for each church/project fund with information found on the church/project fund request form, but generally include acknowledgments of the following:

...

The Master Grant Agreement ("Agreement") is between RELIANT MISSION ("Reliant") and _______[Partner name fills in from answer above]__________________________ ("Partner"), who is represented by ____[Fund Custodian name]__________________ who has been appointed by the Partner to act on behalf of the Partner as the Fund Custodian. Terms of the Agreement refer to applicable Reliant policies and standards, particularly the

  1. The Fund Custodian has been appointed and approved to sign on behalf of the Partner.
  2. Authorized Signer(s) listed on the request form above has/have been authorized by the Partner to approve transfers, reimbursements, grants, and other payments from the requested fund.
  3. Partner may appoint Affiliate Fundraisers to function as deputized fundraisers on behalf of the fund.
  4. Partner, Fund Custodian, and others with responsibility related to the Fund have read, and will adhere to, all applicable Reliant policies and standards, particularly those listed (with links) above.
  5. Reliant and Partner agree that the fund will be used for this purpose: _____(auto fill from answer)___________________________________ (the next part populates if yes to designated grantees) and to further the purpose of the fund, these ministry activities will take place by the Designated Grantees ____(auto fill from answer)_________________________________________.  Grants cannot be used for any purpose other than those listed in the Fund Request Form and approved by Reliant. Therefore, grants distributed from the fund must be used consistent with the agreed-upon purpose of the fund. Reliant may refuse requested grants if Reliant deems the requests are not in line with the approved purpose of the associated church/project fund. If the purpose of the church/project fund changes, an addendum to change the purpose outlined in this Agreement is required and must be signed by both parties.
  6. The Fund Custodian and Partner agree to supply Reliant with semi-annual reports of how grant monies were used, including documentation of expenditures consistent with Reliant's Grant-Making Standard. If reports are not supplied by their due date, Reliant may suspend further grants until past due reports and associated required documentation are submitted.
  7. Designated Grantees: Appoint no more than (# submitted on the form above) Designated Grantees to carry out the activities as outlined above. If the number range of designated grantees changes, an addendum to change the number range of Designated Grantees outlined in this Agreement is required.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties have executed this Master Grant Agreement on the latest date hereinafter written (the “Effective Date”).

Many other items are outlined on the policy/standard but we wanted to highlight the following...

  • I understand that all contributions are the sole property of Reliant; Reliant maintains full control of the donated funds and ultimate discretion as to their use for Reliant’s ministry purposes.

  • We (the church/ministry and myself) agree to communicate with clarity with all Designated Grantees that the Designated Grantee(s) will be responsible for applicable payment of taxes, withholding for employment taxes, compliance with local law, etc. A clear acknowledgment of these expectations for local compliance will also be noted in the Stipend Agreement that will be required to be signed by all Designated Grantees.
