Job Description for MTD

The following general job description applies to all GCM Reliant field staff who are assigned MTD responsibilities. For most GCM Reliant field staff, this will serve as the exclusive or primary job duties for their initial tenure (“Initial MTD Phase”) until the related GCM Initial MTD Phase.  A Reliant Missionary is in "Initial" fund-raising until their Reliant ministry account is fully funded (at 100%. At that point, the missionary may see “Release to Assignment”).

Once engaged in a After "Release to Assignment", the missionary is in the Sustaining MTD phase. Their main duties are at their local church or ministry assignment, GCM . Reliant staff members must maintain these MTD responsibilities alongside their other primary responsibilities. Typical expectations for “maintaining” a GCM Reliant ministry team is approximately 10% of overall hours; , averaging 4-5 hours a week for a fulltime full-time employee.

Summary of

Primary Responsibilities

To develop and cultivate a ministry team for GCM Reliant using the Ministry Team Development process. The development process requires the GCM Reliant missionary : to connect with potential partners, to communicate the ministry vision , and to ask directly for donor involvement and commitment. The cultivation process requires the GCM Reliant missionary to grow a positive relationship with GCM Reliant donors and to regularly report on the state of the ministry.
