It is the intention of this policy to minimize the disruption of normal operations if a manageable crisis occurs. Experience shows that a Field Team Leader and Crisis Manager can manage some crisis situations while others require more resources. The ability to measure a response will allow Reliant to have the resources available to address any situation and prioritize human life while also reasonably valuing productivity and efficiency. |
It It is Reliant's policy that each crisis has an appropriately measured response. If the Crisis Manager and/or Field Team Leader determine that an actual crisis situation involving Reliant's team members has occurred, they have the authority to decide whether or not to gather the CMTICMT. A Level 3 crisis, defined as a Field Team Leader being in control of a situation but needing Reliant's assistance, requires at minimum a measured response by the Crisis Manager with activation of parts of the CMT ICMT (depending on the crisis, may start at the Program Team Director level). However, when a crisis occurs that is beyond the capabilities of the Team Field Leader to control and respond to, it is automatically considered a Level 5 incident, and the full CMT must ICMT will be initiated.
