A: No. Any amount of cash needs to be converted to a money order and sent to Reliant.
Q: What if the donor says they don't want me to send it to Reliant?
A: You can say something like, "Thank you so much for you generosity. As a missionary with Reliant, I need to send any donations I receive to Reliant. This helps ensure integrity regarding donations, as well as keeps us in good standing with the IRS." If they really don't want you to, you can send it in as an anonymous gift.
Q: Will the donor's cash gift be tax-exempt?
A: Yes, it will be tax-exempt if you include their information with the money order.
