titleHow do I guide a donor through giving by check?

If a donor would like to give make a gift by check, here’s what to share with tell them:

  1. Make the check payable to:
    Reliant

  2. Include the following on the memo Memo line:
    Your Include your name, the name of your ministry or /project name (if applicable), and your 4-digit Fund Number.

  3. Mail the check to:
    Reliant, 11002 Lake Hart Dr, Ste 100, Orlando, FL 32832

💡 Tip: Encourage donors to mail their send checks directly to Reliant to  to ensure accurate tracking and timely processing and accurate receipting.

If a donor gives you the check directly:
Please forward the check (along with the original envelope, if possible) to Reliant at the address above.

titleWhat should I do if a donor gives or mails a check directly to me?

If a donor sends a check to you instead of to Reliant, follow these steps:

Check for accuracy. Before sending it in, make sure the check includes:

  1. Verify that the check is filled out correctly:

    1. Payable to Reliant

    2. Your name (or the ministry/project

  1. Forward the check (and original envelope, if available) to:

titleWhat should I do if the donor makes the check out to me personally?

If possible, kindly ask the donor to void the check and write a new one made payable to Reliant. This helps ensure proper tracking and that they receive an official donation receipt.

If they’re unable to reissue the check, follow these steps:

  1. Deposit the check into your personal bank account.

  2. Purchase a money order or cashier’s check for the exact donation amount.

  3. Make it payable to Reliant.

  4. Mail the money order or cashier’s check to:
    Reliant, 11002 Lake Hart Dr, Ste 100, Orlando, FL 32832

titleHow to obtain a Money Order

You can usually purchase a money order at locations like the post office, 7-Eleven, Walgreens, CVS, most grocery stores, or Walmart.

Here’s how to complete it correctly:

  1. Pay To: Write Reliant in the "Pay To" field. If it’s blank, you may handwrite the name.

  2. Address: Include the Reliant's mailing address:
    11002 Lake Hart Dr, Ste 100, Orlando, FL 32832

  3. From/Sender: Write the donor’s full name and address.

  4. Memo: Include your name and your 4-digit Fund Number.

  5. Signature (Front Only): If there’s a signature line on the front, sign your name.

Warning

Do not sign the back of the money order

  • The money order should match the exact donation amount.

  • There may be a small fee, which you’ll need to pay up front. You may be eligible for reimbursement—check the Reimbursement section or contact the team at reimbursements@reliant.org with questions.

  • Don’t forget to tear off and keep the receipt for your records.

titleCan a donor send a check from a non-US bank??
  •  Reliant can accept international checks only in the following currencies:
    • Canadian dollar (CAD)
    • British pound (GBP)
    • Euro (EUR)
  • If a donor's check is in any other currency, please advise them to make their gift online, using a credit card
  • For large gifts or if the donor prefers not to give by credit card, please ask the donor contact Donor Services via email at donor.services@reliant.org to explore alternative payment options
