The stress and difficulty of living overseas takes a toll on all international workers. We desire for every worker to work toward maintaining spiritual, mental, and emotional health. Therefore it is important to us to provide clear pathways to access counseling, whether in response to a major life event or for keeping routine stressors in check. We want to make quality care as accessible as possible by the following three ways.

How to get started
If you are interested in utilizing these benefits, start by filling out the counseling subsidy request form. We'll get back to you as soon as we can to answer any questions that you have. In the meantime, you are welcome to go ahead and pursue your first counseling session.
Providers
Below are some preferred recommended providers that other Reliant workers have utilized and that we feel believe will offer quality, gospel-based care. You can find more about the services that each offers on their websites. Counseling is not one-size-fits-all, so if you try one counselor and it is not a good fit, don't worry! That is normal! It make take a couple of tries to find the best counseling relationship for you. Of course, you are welcome to use any counselor of your choice.

Re-Story Counseling is located in Northern Colorado, but has a special division of their business that works with clients online. Their executive director is a former international worker in Central Asia with Cru. Their goal is help people connect God’s story with their story and provide restorative, Biblical Counseling. They have licensed counselors on staff, but are primarily made up of Biblical counselors. They offer marriage enrichment. We have provided a list of counseling providers on the following Solomon Page.
In addition to vetting counselors we wanted to help subsidize some on-going costs of counseling. Therefore, in 2023 and hopefully beyond, we are adding a 25% subsidy to counseling from Reliant’s funds for up to 12 sessions through our vetted counseling agencies listed on the Solomon pages. With the remaining 75% we are asking you to cover 25% from your salary for personal investment in the process, and 50% from MTD funds. This is available for all Reliant Employee’s and their dependents.
At each of these locations we have worked with these providers to have Reliant billed directly for a portion of the cost of your appointment to save you the hassle of having to fill out an expense allowance for each session. The counseling agency will bill you directly for 25% of the session cost, and Reliant the other 75%. After which we will reconcile for 50% to come from your MTD account and 25% from Reliant’s Member Care fund.
How it Works
Once we receive the bill from the counselor, we will pay the entire bill. We will then deduct 75% of the cost from the account you are responsible for to cover your portion. After 12 sessions, the full portion of the bill will come from the account you are responsible for.
If you are using a counselor of your choice, you can still utilize the member care benefits. You will need to submit the receipts to international@reliant.org and we will transfer 25% of the cost to your MTD fund to help with the costs.
