Guidestone Funds are an investment option for 401(k) participants that desire Bible-based responsible investing. This investment option is similar to the Timothy Funds which were previous offered. Reliant has partnered with Guidestone as our Domestic medical insurance provider for many years. Over those years we have built a trusting relationship with Guidestone, which has led us to enhance our connection by offering a selected number of their investment funds within our 401(k) Plan. The 401(k) investment committee believes Guidestone Funds provide a reliable balance of faith-based values in their investment strategy combined with a solid track record of market performance. Therefore, Reliant will be re-allocating our funds from the Timothy investments into similar investments with Guidestone Funds.    

Disclaimer: GuideStone funds are different than Timothy funds so we encourage all investors to review their investment portfolios to determine if this investment option is right for you.  GuideStone does invest in some larger companies that might have some ethical differences with Biblical values in areas like labor practices etc. GuideStone's investment missions statement says they do not invest in any company that is publically recognized as being in the alcohol, tobacco, gambling, pornography or abortion industries.
