Can I waive medical insurance?

As an employee, you and your family are extended an offer of medical insurance through Reliant if you work 30 hours or more per week. There are certain situations where an employee may waive some coverages, specifically medical insurance. Look below to determine if you are eligible to waive medical insurance.

Please note that to be eligible for a waiver, the parent

or spouse's medical coverage must be offered by their employer. If you have further questions or concerns, please contact your liaison.

  2. Other individual medical coverage. This includes but is not limited to:
    1. Medical Sharing Plans
    2. The Marketplace Health Plans 
      1. Please note that you and your family have been offered coverage and therefore do not qualify for a subsidy.
