Mission Trip Fundraising Policy for Reliant Missionaries

All funds needed to be raised by a Reliant missionary in order to participate in a mission /outreach trip, etc. must be raised through Reliant, whether the mission trip is sponsored by Reliant directly or sponsored and arranged by a local church or another ministry. 

The Reliant Fundraising Policy states that "All contributions received by an employee relating to their involvement in ministry must be transmitted to Reliant."  Therefore, even if the mission/outreach trip is sponsored by a local church or another ministry organization (and is not run through Reliant as an event), you may not solicit donations from Reliant ministry partners and other donors so that the funds are sent directly to the local church or ministry. 

Mission trips are considered a standard part of a Reliant missionary's ministry involvement and therefore considered part of their Reliant employment (or for Associate Staff, part of their Reliant volunteer ministry work).  This applies to all mission trips, both domestic and international.  In addition, employed Reliant missionaries must first be released to assignment before they can participate on a mission trip.
