Reliant recommendations and requirements for communication devices are determined by the location's International Risk Levels.
- Basic threat level: Go Bag is not required.
- Moderate threat level: Go Bag is required (includes required items and recommended items personalized to your context).
- High threat level: Go Bag is required (includes required items and recommended items personalized to your context).
In preparation for an evacuation, all Reliant team members are required to have a “go bag” packed at all times. The “go bag” is a bag of supplies that is ready to be accessed in case of an emergency and will help the individual to safely and effectively evacuate in a crisis. This bag should include all necessary supplies for an evacuation, but also be portable enough to be carried by a single individual during travel. Team members must take this on all excursions outside of a major city.
In addition to all items, team members must carry at all times (see Item Preparation), the Go Bag should include the following items:
Go Bag Mimimum Requirements
- Emergency evacuation money
- Additional communication device, preferably a GPS satellite communicator (such as a Garmin InReach device) for each traveling group, not necessarily for each individual or household (additional to your primary communication device like a cell phone)
- IFAK (Individual First Aid Kit) including personal prescriptions and emergency medicines, basic trauma items and a tourniquet
- Small flashlight
- Copies of ID and passport
- Laminated emergency contact card & emergency contact information
- Any type of Force Multiplier (hammer, club, pepper spray, knife, etc)

- Signaling device such as a mirror and whistle
- Compass
- Backup battery or solar cell for charging electronics
- Paracord

- Multi-tool and/or knife
- Extra shirts, socks, and other clothing
- Maps of local and relevant areas
- Foreign SIM card
