When you exit employment, your HSA funds remain yours.
- Your HSA will become a "stand-alone" HSA.
- You will receive a letter with details about your HSA.
- You will keep the HSA but get new debit cards, and your monthly fee will be $4.50.
- You cannot make contributions unless you are a member of a qualified health plan, but you can continue to spend the funds on HSA-eligible purchases.
