Reliant has created a legal entity for the security purposes of international workers. Those in moderate or high-security locations will be added to the legal entity if the risk comes from government entities opposed to the movement of Christianity. There are some main purposes of this legal entity:
- To provide a truthful statement about who your employer is that is not linked to Christianity.
- To back that up through bank statements, W2s, website, and email. The goal is to no longer have "Reliant M..." on any of these statements.
- To create an identity that will cover the majority of Reliant international workers.
The basic idea of the legal entity is Reliant without Christianity. Reliant provides a pathway for people to do cross-cultural, gospel-centered work, while learning the language and culture and/or providing financial or philanthropic development to the city/country they are in. The legal entity has the same goals, minus the overtly Christian part of it. So when someone asks what the legal entity does, a Reliant worker can say, "I am employed by 'legal entity' name. They provide a pathway for me to raise funds and find employment in order to learn language and culture do financial and philanthropic development."
Now, it will be your role to answer the question, “how do you plan to do financial or philanthropic development in our country?” We can’t do that for everyone. But at minimum, the legal entity will back up your employment pathway with a legitimate company that is not Christian-based.
