In the case you might not have used your HSA for an approved medical purchase, you can request to file a reimbursement to yourself from your HSA. Follow the steps below on how to file a reimbursement from your HSA.


Collect Receipts

Collect all necessary amounts and information for your reimbursement, including any receipts you may have.


Login to Highmark

Log onto the Highmark BCBS website.  


Claims & Spending

At the top of the page, go to the Claims & Spending tab.


Access Spending Account

Select "Access Spending Account."

This will open a new window and take you to your Personal Dashboard.


My Account Summary

On the top left of your screen, select the three horizontal lines to open a dropdown menu.

Then select "My Accounts" to expand the section.

Finally, select "My Account Summary."


HSA Bill Pay

Once in your account summary, select "HSA Bill Pay."


Enter Information

Type in all the required information:

This page can be used to pay bills directly to a medical facility or to yourself as a reimbursement.

Make sure you are making the correct selections on the form.



Review & Submit

Once all expenses have been recorded, press "Submit."


You can view submitted transactions by clicking "My Accounts" and selecting "Transactions" from the drop-down menu.
