When making a change to your 403(b)(9) contribution amount, please also submit an updated support goal in Toolbox. However, changing your support goal does not change the amount deducted from your payroll, you have to make the change on the Principal site to affect payroll. If you have not registered with Principal, you must register first then follow the steps below to make a change. All changes must be submitted on the Principal site by the 19th of the month to be effective on the following month's paycheck.
Reliant encourages all international employees to seek tax counsel regarding IRS ruling 70-491 when determining if the Roth option is something they should utilize for their retirement savings. There may be tax implications of selecting Roth for your retirement funds while filing under the Foreign Earned Income Exclusion to consider and discuss with your tax counsel. |
Reliant will calculate the 403(b)(9) match based on your contributions as noted on the Principal site and payroll earnings and add that amount to your 403(b)(9) account from the MTD account for which you are responsible during payroll. The process below is used for changing the amount deducted from your paycheck. |
For those employees that were originally auto-enrolled at $50, if you do not make any changes to your investments, contribution rate(s), or take any other actions to manage your 403(b)(9) account with Principal, Reliant will automatically increase your auto-enrollment each year. Each year starting with the January 15th paycheck, if you have not made any changes to the auto-enrollment, you'll see the auto-enrollment contribution raised by $10. This yearly increase will continue until you have reached $150. You have the option to change your contribution rate at any time if you do not want the auto-increase to be in effect. (See Changes to Contributions for how to change your contribution.) |
