If the Lord has provided a lot of special-gift donors, we can sometimes hit a point where that funding runs out. The email below should help kick off a campaign for recurring support. Send it to everyone on your prayer letter list (donors and non-donors). Plan to send a weekly update, extending to a week after your deadline. (In the example below, that would mean one more update after the August 31 deadline.) Also plan to call individuals and invite them to give to this initiative. *If sending with MailChimp, you can look at open rate and start by calling those who have opened the email.

Dear (name),

I want to share a very real ministry need with you.

Between now and August 31, I need to see $3,000 in new support come in in order for my September paycheck and ministry expenses to be fully funded. That closes this month's funding gap. Looking ahead, and in hopes of not having to send another urgent appeal like this, I need to raise $3,000 in ongoing monthly support. This empowers me to sustainably continue serving Houston's immigrant and Muslim women full-time without interruption.

As many of you know, God has called me to a support-based ministry role. That means that every conversation, every Bible study, every relationship built, and every opportunity to share the hope of Jesus is made possible through the prayers and generosity of people who choose to partner in this work. I don't take that for granted for a single day.

Over the past year, God provided through several special one-time gifts that faithfully covered the ministry's monthly budget and allowed me to continue serving without interruption. Now that those funds have been fully allocated as planned, I need additional recurring partners to help carry the ministry into its next chapter.

The need is urgent, but I am not discouraged. I've seen God provide again and again through His people. I'm also encouraged by ongoing conversations with several churches that are considering partnering with this ministry later this fall and into 2027. But today, the need is now, and I'm asking friends like you to prayerfully consider whether God is inviting you to be part of the answer.

Would you ask the Lord if He wants you to mobilize me by supporting this ministry through a monthly, quarterly, or annual gift? Recurring support is especially valuable because it allows me to move forward with confidence and focus on the ministry God has called me to rather than continually trying to close funding gaps.
And if God has blessed you with the ability to do so, be wildly generous. As Paul reminds us, "God loves a cheerful giver" (2 Corinthians 9:7).

God often provides through personal connections, which is why I'd love your help with one additional opportunity.

Would you share my attached ministry flyer with three people you know? Think of people who have a heart for building up women, reaching the nations, reaching Muslims, or serving our community. A personal introduction is one of the most effective ways people learn about this ministry. If helpful, I'd even be glad to join a group text so you can connect us. I promise I won't make it weird!
Thank you for your ongoing prayers, love, giving, and believing in this ministry. Together, we're helping immigrant and Muslim women encounter the love of Christ and experience the hope found in Him. I'm incredibly grateful for your partnership. I'll keep you updated over these next few weeks so we can see and celebrate how God provides!
With gratitude,
