Would do the same next year

We offered to write people's letters the week before Thanksgiving. Email title "Don't you wish your end-of-year letter could write itself?" 50 people took us up on the offer!
Jenni used Chat GPT to write the letters.
Had MTD Health team reach out to individuals and invite them to send an EOYA + gave tools to empower them to do so + offered strategy sessions
- Used Email & HeyMarket
- Career EOY gifts
- Fixed Term EOY gifts
Email timeline was helpful
End of Year Ask - Easy as PIE page was helpful
Track numbers to see when the most single gifts come in. *Look at Jenni's numbers pulled from 2024 to advise a timeline for 2025
Do some data digging in January to compare a sample size of people from last year. *People we know participated in the EOYA
Look at what was the average single gift a sustaining Collegiate person brought in for FTE

Next year, we want to have these things to make it easier:

Google form to fill out.
- What is your ask for?
  - vision
  - amount
- Give me 2-3 sentences on what your ministry was about this year (your role/ what the Lord did)
- What's your writing style - are you verbose, do you use emojis, do you do a lot of talking in parenthesis
- Are there any ways to give you do NOT want to offer people? Check all that apply: (Reliant link, mailing address, QR code)
- What do you want to title your letter? What could be a vision sentence
- What's your FD#
- What's your reliant giving page URL
- Ministry name
- Ministry location
- Ministry type (college ministry, church planter, etc)
- Chalkline prints, stamps and mails your letter for you. Here's the link. Here's the average cost. You can't customize each individual letter.
- If you want to send a magnet with your letter, get a photo. It's ok for it to be informal. No professional photographer needed.
- If this process seems overwhelming, email us and we'll help you 1:1.

Would NOT do again:

Send the letter, then have them send me back the changes. Instead, I'd send them the template in Canva, tell them to change it any way they want and how to download it as a PDF to send to Chalkline.
MTD Office Hours. Do this instead: Consultations, cohort commitment, things that are specific to them. Mass emails were great to give info on the front-end. Having the PIE theme stuck.
Jenni took on too much with Fixed Term. She would pass off the calls to Karl/ his team with these people to discuss EOYA + what they're doing after their internship/residency is over. Incorporate the EOYA in their strategy of completing their support need. Jenni will train Karl/ team how to have these calls.

Make your EOYA Easy as PIE
Sample appeal letter - Edit it to include your stories/ your tone. Mail that puppy the week before Thanksgiving, if possible.

Hi {{first_name}}, it's Reliant Russ here. I can't believe it's almost November, but as we approach the holidays I wanted to remind you that it’s a great time to think about your EOY ask. This is the most pivotal time to reach out to your team and request their financial support as many seek tax-deductible ways to give at the end of the year (e.g. 31% of charitable giving happens in December 🤯). - Hey Keva! My response was decent. I sent out about 30 or so messages and got close to 10 replies. From those 10 I had 4 phone/zoom calls with people.
