Important information regarding end-of-year donations.

If a donor mails an end-of-year check to you directly, please be sure to save the envelope and send it in with the check. The donor's envelope must be included with any checks mailed to Reliant by the missionary. If the envelope is postmarked in December 2022, we can count the donation as a 2022 gift. If the check is dated 2022, but the postmark on the envelope is 2023, we will process the donation as a 2023 gift.

Please check your mailboxes early in the new year for these types of gifts and send them to Reliant as soon as you can. All 2022 gifts must be received by January 12, 2023, to be included in 2022 donations.

November 30, 2022

Gifts received in the Reliant office for expiring backpay. This is the last business day for gifts to be received by Reliant to help pay your December 15 payroll, including any 2020 backpay, which will expire after December payroll is completed.

December 23 & 26, 2022

No gift processing. Reliant office closed.

December 28, 29, 2022

Limited Reliant Office personnel is available. Please make sure that you leave a message with your name and phone number if you call the office and are sent to voicemail.

December 29 will be the last business day the Reliant office is open in 2022.

December 30, 2022

No gift processing. Reliant office closed. (Calls will go to voicemail and be returned as the Gift Services team is able, but possibly not until January).
December 31 - Final day for 2022 tax year gifts. Check donors who want to count their gift as a tax deduction in 2022 need to mail their check, so it's postmarked by December 31, 2022. Please see the pink information box at the top of this page for additional requirements for 2022 checks to be received by Reliant and counted towards 2022 giving statements.
December 31 - Final day for online giving to count for 2022 (deadline Midnight EST).

January 2, 2023

No gift processing. Reliant office closed. (Calls will go to voicemail and be returned as the Gift Services team is able).

January 3, 2023

Deadline for Reliant to receive 2022 check donations to be used to pay your paycheck on January 13. December 2022 check gifts received after this cutoff (but received by the January 12 deadline) will still be counted as December gifts, but they will be reserved and used toward the balance available to pay your February 15, 2023 paycheck.

January 12, 2023

All December gifts sent directly to you by donors must be received in the Reliant office by January 12. This is the final accounting deadline for 2022 "late checks" to be recorded as 2022 giving for tax-deduction purposes. This only counts for checks which were postmarked in 2022. (Our auditors check the postmark date on the envelope to prove the donation was mailed in 2022, so please save the envelope and mail it with the check!) Please check your mailboxes early in the new year for these types of gifts and immediately send them to Reliant to be received by the January 12 deadline.
If you are mailing checks using a guaranteed delivery service for delivery on January 12 - please make sure you select the delivery option for early AM delivery or guaranteed delivery by 1:00 PM. To allow for sufficient processing time by our Gift Services team, Reliant will be unable to guarantee a 2022 gift date for packages containing 2022 checks received after 1:00 PM EST on January 12.
Deadline for any remaining 2022 reimbursements must be submitted to Reliant by 11:59 PM Eastern time. You must submit any remaining October, November, or December 2022 reimbursements by this date. The standard three-month submission window does not apply during this time of year.

January 20, 2023

Reimbursements paid. Reimbursements submitted in December will be eligible for payment on this date. Also, any previously submitted 2022 reimbursements that now have funding available will be paid out on this day.

January 31, 2023

Reimbursements paid. Any 2022 reimbursements submitted in January and any remaining unpaid reimbursements from 2020 and 2021, which are eligible for payment, will be paid on this date. We will use the full MTD account balance available for payment, which includes any additional December 2022 gifts which were received by January 12. Please keep in mind Reliant may only pay reimbursements once a missionary has received all outstanding backpay.
